IPSSA Cross Country

Wednesday 21st  March 2018

We are really proud of the 54 runners who participated in the IPSAA School Cross-County Championships at Royal Hospital School. This is a big event with hundreds of children taking part. We entered teams in all of the races and our Year 4 pupils successfully tackled the 1500m course and Year 5 and Year 6 their  2200m course. Cheering each one of them on as they ran towards the finish line was a joy as their determination, effort and competitiveness to 'Be the best they could be' was evident. They were also really supportive of each other, encouraging and cheering loudly! Special congratulations to Stanley who was placed 9th in his race and to Robyn, Aimee, Bonny, Connor, Jack, Tyler and Ruby who were all placed in the first 20 in their races - an amazing achievement as there were up to 200 runners in each event. Thank you to all those who came to support the runners.

Once final results came through, we were delighted to see that the year 4 boys had finished in 3rd place overall.  Well done!
