School Games Quick Sticks competition

For the first match we played the Oaks and won 4-0.   We played defensively at the beginning, but grew in confidence and definitely attacked by the end.  2 goals were scored by Tim and 2 by Evelyn.

For the second match we played Shotley and won 1-0.  Finding our feet we were getting used to working as a team.  Fortunately for us, an own goal was scored by Shotley which meant we won.

For the third match we played Beaumont and drew 1-1.  It was a very even match and Claydon had to work hard to gain possession and got better as the game went on.

For the fourth match we played Hadleigh and lost 1-0.  It was a very fast match and Hadleigh were very positive in their attacking, but Claydon used some long passes to break their attack.

For the last match we played Witnesham and lost 4-1.  We found ourselves playing very defensively although we won possession and then lost it again.  Unfortunately Evelyn got injured so Fredrina replaced her as a substitute.

Intra-School Quick Sticks Hockey tournament

Well done to the Year 6 Dolphins who won our Year 6 Intra-School Quicksticks Hockey tournament.
After many PE sessions working on improving and developing their hockey skills the tournament was an opportunity for the pupils to consolidate and apply them in game situations. All children participated and demonstrated great sportsmanship.
