What is Claydon Primary School HSA?
Claydon Primary School HSA is a group of friendly people (parents/carers/staff) who work together with the school with two main aims:
- To enhance the sense of community at the school
- To raise funds to enrich our children’s primary school experience.
All parents, carers, friends and members of Claydon staff are automatically members of the HSA, all are welcome to our events. Whatever your talents, they will be put to good use, whether you are great at admin, enjoy organising or like to be part of a team. Perhaps you are good with numbers or at getting things done. Maybe you just want to make new friends and get more involved with the school.
The HSA is run by a committee of parents who are elected at an Annual General Meeting. The committee includes a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, and a group of willing volunteers who come together at friendly meetings to discuss priorities for action and to plan various fundraising events.
The HSA meets at least once a term for social and/or fundraising events.
We raise money which goes towards the purchase of equipment and teaching resources that benefit the children at Claydon Primary School and supports their growth and development at school.
We run a wide range of social events during the school year which are well attended and bring the school community together.
These have recently included a Summer Fair, quiz and chip night and the Christmas Fair, Popular events also include our regular class cake sales and fun run!
Many hands makes light work – we are always looking for extra helpers! If you can spare half an hour, an hour or more – we’d appreciate it. Work from home or meet us at school. We always need extra hands to help prepare before an event, help out on a stall and/or afterwards with cleaning up.
We look forward to your support, ideas, skills and time.
Do get in touch!
Thanks,
The HSA Team
