School Uniform
At Claydon Primary School there is a strong tradition of school uniform. It helps give pupils a sense of belonging and to feel a pride in being part of our school and supports our ethos of high expectations.
Girls: school skirt/pinafore dress/trousers/shorts grey (or black)
blouse/polo shirt white
cardigan/jumper/sweatshirt/sweat cardigan green (or blue in Year 6)
socks white or grey or black
Boys: trousers/shorts grey (or black)
shirt/polo shirt white
jumper/sweatshirt/sweat cardigan green (or blue in Year 6)
socks white or grey or black
PE kit: black shorts and white/team colour t-shirts, (Anderson will wear red, Seacole blue,
Curie yellow and Jenner green), for indoors.
For outdoors, trainers or plimsolls and a track suit for when the weather is cold.
We request that trousers, shorts, skirts are all of a traditional ‘school’ type rather than being of the current fashion trend. Similarly school shoes (not trainers) need to be sturdy, flat and comfortable and to be appropriate for children to be able to run and play freely in at break times. We request that fashion boots are not worn. However flat ankle boots worn discretely under trousers are acceptable.
Jewelry should not be worn to school apart from stud earrings which need to be removed or covered during PE lessons. No pupils should be wearing make-up, coloured lip balms or nail varnish. We request that hair is of a natural colour with no shaved logos/symbols .
THE CLEAR NAMING OF ALL CLOTHING IS AN ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT
Most of our uniform can be purchased at a wide range of shops. For the items with the school logo on, these can be either ordered online at PMG.
