Sharing Your Online Experiences

Want to talk about it? Sharing your online experiences.

For many of us, we see our online lives and offline lives as different but children are growing up with technology and the internet. For them there isn’t a difference; online life and offline life is just life. Therefore, engaging pupils in conversations about the online world is vital. By giving children the confidence and language to discuss their behaviours and habits online, we can better help them understand how to safely navigate different platforms – and ultimately, keep them safe online.

This video demonstrates what we think about the world online, from Reception to Year 6.

The children have focused on answering these four key questions:

  • What do you use the internet for?
  • What issues can you have online?
  • How do you keep yourself safe online?
  • What do you want the internet to look like in 10 years?
